The Box was nearly bent...and that's with books inside! Next Time I see my mail man I'm punchin' him dead in the teeth...SOB! That would be a Federal offense... Yeah, if the Federal Prosecutor decided to bother with it. As a Revenue Officer a "taxpayer" pull a old Army .45. They declined to prosecute as part of an agreement where the guy didn't sue us. Apparently the RO "overreacted" when I punched him as he waved the gun at me. Claimed I broke five bones in his face with a fist thrown from a seated position. Yeah... more likely I hurt my hand more than he hurt his face. (He did drop the gun though. One of us picked it up and made a "leisurely" exit that would have made Quicksilver/Flash/Whizzer proud.) When you get assaulted, postman, ALWAYS make sure there are witnesses. Preferably nuns, preachers, and the Pope... and video!! Not bitter, nosiree. Had to pull my car over and stop about half a mile down the road and get my heart rate under 2,000 bpm. Then spent weeks doing reports, depositions, etc. Frankly, it'd have been easier to have let him shoot.
