Storytime Comics wrote: I've really enjoyed the posts about these issues over the past two months, too. Maybe the best extended Marathon discussion yet. I liked VF's observation that Strange had only visited two other realms before--Nightmare and Purple Veil (had never noticed that!), and I totally bought into profh0011's theory that the initial story's were created entirely by Ditko "on spec", but then Stan "recast" them a la the Ronald Colman film Lost Horizon. Does anyone have the Blake Bell biography of Ditko? Does Bell mention whether the original stories were done by Ditko on his own?

Because Captain America wants revenge, to avenge Bucky, because he died of an explosive airplane.
almost a perfect "Z" moving the reader through the page.
And, as for the story this issue . . . how about those layouts?!

Son of Storytime the Younger says about ASM #19: I knew something: That he's going to be really, like, like -- [Interviewer: Who?] --like, scared when Mr. Jameson found out Spider-Man was back in action. I was right about that. But I thought, he would like, um, after, like, TV, he was gonna rent it, and he didn't know what it was going to be and he thought he was going to be like a chicken, but instead he was like fighting crime again, so he was like, "I'll turn off this TV!" click! [Interviewer: Did you like this issue better or last issue, when Spidey didn't fight anyone?] I thought this one was better, because it was kind of funny. Because why Mr. Jameson was very surprised that Spider-Man was back in action:

How does he keep his shirt on if he's sandy? [Interviewer: I don't know. That's a really good question. Maybe the shirt is part of him now?] So does he have to put his sand body into the washing machine to wash his clothes?
I think more Ned than Peter, because superheroes never get married. Except Reed Richards and Sue Storm. [Interviewer: Because they're both superheroes? So that's the rule?] [Son the Younger interrupts:] I think the Wasp can be married to Giant-Man. [Son the Elder resumes:] That could happen. It's possible. You have to be both superheroes, and both well known to actually marry [Interviewer: So a lesser-known superhero couldn't marry a more famous superhero?] No. [Interviewer: Why not?] It just doesn't really make sense
