Glad you said "almost" because if Iron man volume 7 were to include say issues 25-35 and Daredevil 73, it wouldn't be all duds. The Nick Fury / Zodiac crossover with Daredevil was a bit of a favourite of mine at the time. Firebrand makes his debut in #27 and #28 has a great Controller cover / story.

Yeah, I like him too! That's a problem with mapping the next few volumes. I hate to split up the War of the Super-Villains (because they split it up so badly in the original publication), but I don't see how else to do it!
#10: Iron Man #'s 62-73
High points: Battle with Doctor Spectrum; beginning of the War of the Super-Villains; guest appearance of Sunfire; death of the Mandarin
Low points: Whiplash story; Eddie March becomes the Freak
#11: Iron Man #'s 74-87 (#76 reprint issue; cover only included)
High points: War of the Super-Villains with Mad Thinker, Modok, Firebrand; first Blizzard
Low points: Fill-in issues; Red Ghost and Super-Apes
#12: Iron Man #'s 88-97, Annual #3
High points: Team-up with Daredevil; battle with Controller; return of the Melter; battle with Ultimo; new Guardsman
Low points: Commander Kraken; team-up with Man-Thing
