After this week-end when I have two shows, one at Skibo Castle and another at Inverness Museum, I am taking a winter break. After ten years as the Highlander I
have decided to take some time off. As things stand I will not be working between December 1st and January 21st. These weeks are generally quiet except for the
Christmas/New Year period, but this year I have decided to take some downtime over the winter. Thankfully because of a good year it is possible to do without
money coming in for this period and the bookings are looking good for next year.
During the first week we are taking my mother down to my sisters in the midlands for a week, while Lyn and I visit London for a few days. After that we have made no plans, other than to relax and enjoy some time together. Lyn took early retirement from her job as a Classroom Assistant on October 31st and we plan to make the most of time off together.
Having reached the great age of 60 my new mantra is to work to earn enough and enjoy as much time off together as we can.
