Did anyone else love this show? I have to say, alternate earths and time travel being my favourite aspects of sci-fi, i devoured every episode i saw.
Unfortunately i didn't catch them all back in the day but have since got series 1-3 on dvd and will probably get series 4 in the near future.
A few points for discussion:
Prof Arturo - Did the real one slide from Azure Gate Bridge world or was it the double? Do you think it was the beginning of the end when Max was written out or did that come later?
Quinn - in the pilot episode a parallel Quinn Malory gives him the final equation for sliding. This Quinn seems to have a more dangerous edged personality than prime Quinn and seen in a later series has gone quite mad. Why the difference?
Rembrandt - nothing in particular - i just love this guy. Best consistent character or not?
Wade - Another 'differences between universes' question. One episode showed a (funny because it was prior) a version that was kind of like a ruthless Victoria Beckham. This Wade actually murdered HER Quinn - i wonder why she should be so different from regular Wade who was more the new age veggie type.
Maggie - I quite liked her but a lot of fans seem to mark her arrival as the moment when the show began to jump the shark. Discussion?
Not having seen seasons 4 and 5, i can't comment on the half brother or merged Quinn but feel free to discuss as i've read up on wiki about that era.
Finally: season themes - the show started by exploring social points with moral, historic and political divergences but later went into parodying popular films and over-reliance on the recurring threat from the Kromags. What was your preference?
