Anybody get this? I'd be curious to know about the binding. I'm assuming it's sewn.

There's a photo of it in the Bendis Board thread about this book.

So does this mean that all Omniboo will have sewn binding from now on?

Gormuu, will there be a reprint of the Alias Omnibus with a sewn binding?

This may be a good forum to ask this question; was the OSHC of Powers vol. 2 ever released? I ordered it but no sign of it so far.

Ferjo Byroy wrote: That I couldn't tell ya. I wouldn't mind sewn binding on that volume, Eternals, Silver Surfer and the Daredevil by FM and KJ editions. But I'm not guessing they will go BTP on those. Next time David's around doing a Q+A you might bring that up.

By the way, in that same Bendis Board thread people are complaining about Alex Maleev's name not being on the cover. Bendis himself pops up and says that
he didn't realize it had been left out. A bit later, he says that Marvel is going to "recitify" the problem. I wonder what that means..?

They should rectify that. Maleev makes the book for me! I am going to stick with my OHC's. Man, this is my favorite DD run---I devoured this thing. A
modern Marvel Classic.

Is it available yet? I just got an email from Amazon that it was delayed until October. I went ahead & pre-ordered since I had some credits at Amazon, but
I'll cancel & order from TOW if it's been released.

judging from that pic, it looks like it lays fairly flat, which is good.

compromise on the girl."

Can someone tell me - I've found nearly all Bendis' work unreadable: characters that sound the same, stilted dialogue, lots of talk that goes nowhere,
no real sense of drama, weak to non-existent plots...
Is this any better? |

Misrule, I know you, you are an Atlas monster nut.
So, coming from another Atlas monster nut, I can tell you this Bends Maleev run is fantastic! Give it a try..if you hate it, dump it on ebay in a year...it'll be worth 5X what you paid for it anyhow, especially if it goes out of print. Man, it is really really good.!

Monsty, from one Atlas monster nut to another, that's good enough for me! I'll give it a try...

Misrule,
Just to give you a heads up, to me this has much more of a crime drama feel to it than a superhero book.

If he buys it and doesn't like it, I will happily make arrangements with the man to buy it from him.
I have the trades, but this Omnibus might be worth a double dip. In fact, it was Bendis's Daredevil that turned me from a Bendis-hater to a Bendis fan. His Daredevil, once you get past the first arc (issues 26-29 or so), is one of the better comics released this decade. ...and Brubaker's DD is better! |

I've just emailed my LCS to get me a copy. And I like crime stuff, so this could be good.
