As a collected editions collectors, what would it take to greenlight the collections we are clamoring for?
Example, a Simonson Thor Omnibus has been talked about here forever, but still nothing is even hinted at or shown real interest in.
I know we have the Masterworks survey and the boards here, but what we we have to do to get things moving for the collections we want? Most of these items are of interest to hardcore fans (I can't see a casual or new reader picking up a Warlock MW vol 2 for $50) so don't we really have the say for what will sell or won't?
I guess the question is, how much are the survey and boards taken into consideration? Would it take a special pre-order section on the publisher's or major retailer's websites to show interest? Would we have to put actual money down? Is there another way to "lock in" our orders?
I would like, for instance, a Starlin Capt. Marvel/Warlock Cosmic Omnibus. It's been mostly Masterworked already, it should be do-able, so how can we make it happen? .....
