This is expensive, so I wanted to try another binding company and settled on Library, since they are so darned cheap for their basic stuff. I sent in a twelve sets, half of which I intend to sell. UPS delivered them today and so far they look very good. Not as supreme as Capital's work, but still quite acceptable. But please note, adding a few extras will instantly launch you well past that $15 price point.
The CEREBUS volumes feeature a die I made, based off the exact title design of Dave Sim. It came out well, but not exactly perfect. The edges are not as crisp as I'd like, but I cannot complain really. My wife really loves how these look and wants them on the coffee table to show off.
The X-FACTOR and UNCANNY X-MEN volumes feature hand set type on the spine. UNCANNY X-MEN has a die on the front cover and I will post a picture of that in a bit.
DAZZLER and KING CONAN's titles are in the wrong place. They are supposed to be more in the center of spine. No idea why they put them so high. When I do volume II of Dazzler I will have to have them match this so it does not look funny. I opted for no lines on the spine of a few as an experiment, but for some reason all came back that way.
Now the fun begins... Checking each volume for errors. The rest of my day will be spent on them.
Next month I am sending in volumes to Capital. This year I want them to do my special PUNISHER collection (one large volume of my personal faves); another ADVENTURERS, this time with additional material; my highly treasured AMAZING SPIDER-MAN collection from issues 201-251; plus many others.
I'll keep on doing UNCANNY X-MEN through Library since they have such a nice die. I started at Volume three, which starts right after the offical Marvel Masterworks V2 of the New X-Men. I am going to go all the way until just after John Romita Jr. left the series. Probably somewhere in the 220's will be my final stopping point.
Here is a photo of all my bound volumes so far.
