Now I know that I am tone deaf and can't sing a lick, so I shouldn't speak negatively, but.... I just don't get him. The only thing he has done that I have found even remotely interesting was the Doors song he did way back in the first Hollywood week. I really think that he is still in this thing only because American chicks dig crazy accents for some reason.

He can sing and is lovable, but for some reason I just don't like him that much. Maybe it's the songs he picks. I doubt he'll fall out anytime soon - all the girls across the country love him no matter what.
I don't think David A. is overrated at all; in fact, I think he has the best male voice in the competition. His biggest problem is that he's only 17 years old and his inexperience is hurting him. I have no doubt that in a few years, when he figures it out, he'll have a very successful singing career.

My jaw dropped when Simon raved over that robotic Kristy pap. Ramiele and David A. have great potential but are losing their confidence. Syesha and Chikezie have nice voices, but would you be able to pick them out of a Urban 100 radio playlist? Brooke, Carly and Michael are too old. Let's not go the Taylor Hicks route again. David Cook is good, but there is something unlikeable about him, besides his lightbulb-head comb-over. I was watching past Idols on Youtube - after 6 years, there still hasn't been anyone super, week-in and week-out, like Kelly Clarkson and Clay Aiken. The next greatest talents were Jennifer Doolittle and Chris Daughtry.

They were the worst two performances. Of course, they probably have the biggest fan clubs with all the little pre-teens and teens so they might be going far based purely on those who have lots of free time to keep voting. Country night next week should keep Kristy Lee at least one more week!
LOL!

But she's always had a target on her back for some reason, and she must know it's just a matter of time. (But her & David Cook are my 2 favorites--and at least she'll be part of that overhyped tour.) I think Syesha's problem stems from the fact that until 2 weeks ago, she really didn't show very much promise. She's had two stellar weeks, but everything before that was just so-so. I think most people tend to vote based on a competitor's body of work and not on what they do on any given night, which is why a person like Ramiele can get away with having a horrible night like she had this week. Or why David A. can forget the lyrics 3 different times in one performance and not even end up in the bottom 3. Unfortunately for Syesha, early impressions can be hard to overcome. Many people have already picked their favorites and it's going to be difficult for her to displace them.

I thought you were being facetious but it was an amazing night of performances! Hard to say who had the best performance of the night since so many had great performances. I'll try and group them by grade: Great performances David A. David C. Brooke Very Good performances: Carly Kristy Lee Syesha Average performances: Michael Ramiele Jason As much as it pains me to say it, Ramiele probably had the weakest performance of the night. Her vocals were all over the place. Jason had what was probably his best performance so far, but he's still out of his league. Michael was decent but I thought the judges over-rated him. Carly had her best performance to date. Kristy Lee and Syesha were also very strong. Brooke had some small problems with her vocals, probably because she was concentrating on playing the guitar. The two Davids were both amazing. I can't even imagine who will be in the bottom 3. My guess is Michael, Jason and Syesha.
