Quote:I just wanted to comment that this is material that I've never read, and truly never had much interest in since these genres generally haven't worked well in the comic format for me. Decided to pick up the first 2 on a whim thanks to some good pricing from some Google discounts in December. Gotta say I really enjoyed them and I'm now hooked. Looking forward to checking out some of the other titles.Someone commented about the paper you're using. I liked it. Didn't seem too glossy at all to me.I guess I have one question. Reading these has piqued my interest in the Mad Archives. I haven't read the DC one yet, but I'm thinking about it now. Any thoughts or knowledge about whether they will be producing more or if you guys will be.Thanks again and keep up the good work.

When he struck the deal to publish these and got the permission of the Gaines family, they wanted to make sure the books reached libraries and schools to be an educational tool.

Quote:I understand why you want to start with the New Trend titles, but I hope you won't save the romance and western pre-Trends for last. I bought all of the individual color reprints and was sorely disappointed that the job wasn't quite finished. I can't help but feel that by saving the worst for last, these comics were doomed from the start. I'm buying all of the EC Archives, and I'd hate to get to the end again only to have the romances and westerns left on the cutting room floor. I know I can buy the collectors set, but it just doesn't make sense to buy a high-end, black-and-white set that doesn't match the rest of my collection. So, I hope that when you get to the end of the New Trend, you'll mix the pre-Trends in with the New Directions and start with the romances and westerns.
