Quote:I would trade all of my non-Kirby Masterworks for the full EC Archives line. To put it mildly, EC blows Marvel out of the water in terms of a consistently great art. I cannot really name one bad EC artist, but I could give you a list one mile long of terrible Marvel artists.

Quote:I suspect Droid will have a chage of tune when he sees Two Fisted, which I think is the strongest EC title from a storytelling perspective. But, if he wants to dump the EC Archives based on the stories before the art gets even better with Frazetta/Williamson and Krigstein, its his loss. My advice: hang in there.

Quote:Wait a sec, the guy with this salutation is saying that Marvel's writing is better than EC's? Have you read any Marvel (Atlas/timely) Comics produced at the same time EC's New Trend was released? There is no comparison. Marvel's GA and Atlas Superhero stories are totally vapid compared to anything EC produced. Gaines and Feldstein were superior to all other comic writers of the same era except for, perhaps, Eisner.
