Yes, P. Gulacy's art was amazing. However, don't forget the later Gene Day-drawn MOKF issues - these had superb art, and great stories as well; I'm especially looking forward to the last MOKF Omni, since that should contain mostly the GD issues.
Unfortunately, I think GD is all but forgotten these days due to the fact that he passed on so young (32) & didn't have a large body of material to begin with. It seems that the only folks who even remember his art these days are those older collectors/fans (like me) who read his comics back when they were first released.
Hopefully, this fourth MOKF Omni will change all that...

I have very dim memories of reading the last five issues of MOKF, and I agree that they're not nearly as good as the issues prior to that - which had gorgeous GD art. That being said, I don't remember them being that bad. IIRC, didn't at least 1-2 of these later issues have art by David Mazzuchelli?! Mazzuchelli later went on to draw the amazing Daredevil: Born Again issues in the later '80's.
I compare Day's leaving MOKF to Frank Miller's leaving DD (Series 1) with issue #191. It's not that the issues that came afterwards (with Klaus Janson art) were bad by any means - it's just that they weren't as good as the previous FM issues. I.e., some artists are impossible to top....

Irony and subtly are the first casualties in the eternal battle of wits between people divided by a common language. So read between the lines or you'll fall through the cracks...

Note I have no reason to beleive they won't be reprinted, but I just wanted to emphasize that even issues in a series that may not be stellar still should be included in a collection like this.
