So I just completed my collection of the HCs/TPBs for the Post-Infinite Crisis Justice League (the volume started by Brad Meltzer). Looking forward to going thru it all this weekend! I see that James Robinson took over for the last 23 issues of this volume. I know that he did a "Cry for Justice" mini which also had a follow-up by J.T. Krul ("Rise & Fall"). I've read some truly awful reviews for this (which makes me not want to buy it). I also see that it's a major story for the villain Prometheus, a favorite of mine (which makes me want to buy it). Then I consider the money I just paid to get issues 1-60 of the core series in collected editions, which really makes me not want to buy it. So my question is: can I safely skip Cry for Justice/Rise & Fall? or are many of the plot threads picked up in his work on the core series? Thanks in advance for the advice!
