I just read through Moon Knight (vol. 3?) #55-60. Stephen Platt's art begins in #55. If anyone remembers, Stephen Platt was a big spalsh for about five minutes back in 1993. His art was very much in the Image style, and I was into Image Comics back then. I'll make no apoliges, Image and Valiant got me back into reading comics in 1992, after years of only reading Groo. So I bought this run, when it came out (except issue #57, the Infinity Crusade crossover, with Spider-Man on the cover, couldn't find that one for cover price). I haven't read it since then, and I can tell you it doesn't hold up over time. Platt's artwork just looks terriable now, and don't get me started on the stories. Bloodline? Hellbent? What the hell is this stuff? I can't make sense out of anything. I think this is the same writer that gave us "Teen Tony" in Iron Man. Platt does covers for all six issues, but interiors only for #55-57 and 60. I guess 3 monthly issues in a row was a bit much for an Image style artist, and he needed a break. Anybody else ever read these comics?
