So if there was going to be a 3rd classic omnibus released for this movie we'd already know about it.

Not release a Silver Age omnibus (unless they can't due to lack of MMWs).

Not release a Silver Age omnibus (unless they can't due to lack of MMWs).They've also never released a 3rd volume of a Omnibus series that was reprinting Masterworks. They would be breaking new ground whatever they do. Either way we'll find out for sure in the next few months. The fact that the Masterwork that would probably make up a third of an Amazing Spider-man omnibus is scheduled to be reprinted in a softcover format in the summer of 2014 could also factor in here. Maybe Marvel wasn't happy with the results back in May of 2012 when they released the softcover of ASM Vol. 7 within a month of the release of the 2nd ASM omnibus that also reprinted ASM Vol. 7? Not to mention that back when all those Silver Age ominbuses were released there wasn't an Epic line also looking to reprint Masterworked material. That could be a factor if indeed they are choosing to not release an omnibus of Masterworked material for this movie.

That could be a factor if indeed they are choosing to not release an omnibus of Masterworked material for this movie. I don't think they'd put off an omnibus for a measly softcover, especially when omnibuses of this type are typically reserved as movie tie-ins.I stand by what I said before. Almost twenty movies and not a single missed opportunity. I don't see them starting now.
It would certainly be an unpleasant surprise if they did break that streak, but... * Technically they've already missed that opportunity. If it's a movie tie-in, it doesn't come out 2+ months AFTER the movie. The Busiek Iron Man omnibus was not a tie-in to Iron Man 3. * The other Marvel films for spring/summer 2014 already have had their classic omnibuses announced, and are scheduled to come out a month before hand. * All three Marvel spring/summer 2014 have had one omnibus released tying-in to them. In the past they've also typically released multiple omnibuses for each movie. They're breaking that "streak", so why couldn't the "we get an omnibus reprinting Masterworks each time a movie is released" streak be broken as well? I mean, we got GA Masterworks volumes every year since 2004, but that didn't mean we got one in 2013.
