I am sure this must have been asked before, but I searched the archives looking for a similar thread and didn't find one... so if there was one, let me know.
But I have been reading some of the big Marvel crossover events, and Marvel Super Hero Secret Wars, which came out when I first started reading comics, and just reread in Omnibus format, was as wonderful as I remembered. Sure I may be tainted by nostalgia, but Mike Zeck was an outstanding artist, and I thought how Jim Shooter handled what could have been a brainless slug fest was surprising and well done.
I also have been enjoying Fall of the Mutants and Civil War quite a bit... but haven't gotten to the resolutions yet.
I know that there has been a lot of talk about these big Marvel Crossover events being disappointing and ending on sour notes, but wondering, in your opinion, which Marvel events really satisfied you. The one or ones that drew you in, kept you riveted, and then ended and you were like "That was really a good read. That is the type of Marvel crossover event that really satisfies."
Oh, Age of Apocalypse, that was a good'un too.
