The old thread for a potential Omnibus of Chamber of Darkness/Tower of Shadows got me thinking about more Marvel Horror Omniboo's. Sooo....
If Marvel were to publish a Werewolf By Night Omnibus, would the entire run (43 issues, 5 Giants plus ToD #18- not sure if there are any other cross overs) fit comfortably in one volume? I'm not sure what the page count of the Werewolf stories are in the Giants since I assume there are unrelated back up stories like in ToD. They could omit any extra's as far as I'm concerned.
The only issue of WWBN I've read is the cross over issue with ToD. I missed out on the Essential. In all honesty I would prefer a 2nd printing of that. I'm not sure if I would buy a WWBN Omnibus if it were split in two volumes. Never been a huge fan of Don Perlin, who appears to do most of the issues that would fill up a 2nd volume
I'm also not positive I would buy a Monster of Frankenstein Omnibus, but I more than likely would. I love the first 8 issues and the bulk of the Magazine stories, but the title starts to go downhill after the Monster wakes up in the 20th century and is dumbed down like the version in the Universal movies. Also the fact that the title is cancelled in the middle of a story line doesn't help. They could make an Omni more enticing by adding cross overs such as MTU #36 & 37 (even though that story line isn't the greatest!). A Masterwork would be cool, but I couldn't see a 2nd volume selling too great!
I was hoping after the fast tracking of the Tomb of Dracula Omni's (which I am reading now) and the Man-Thing that we would get an annual Horror Omnibus, but as far as I know there isn't anything on the horizon. My first choice would be that Darkness/Shadows book, but I WWBN & MoF would be great too!
