From a commercial point of view, it has been a success and I give props to DC. Has it worked for me? Yes and no. I have certainly sampled some DC titles that I was not previously buying, but almost one year later I am down on the number of DC titles that I purchase each month. This has nothing to do with the reboot per se, but rather with the quality of the products. Specifically the writing has been the problem on all the titles that I have dropped. The art teams however have all been good.AQUAMAN - Going strong and it will continue into year two.GREEN LANTERN - I'm in through the "Third Army" storyline and I will re-evaluate at that time.NIGHTWING - Received a second chance, but I will see how the current arc plays out. Some of these titles were dropped early in their run, but then I went back and purchased the subsequent issues; unfortunately, the results ended up being the same...Dropped:ACTION COMICS - lasted one issueBATGIRL - lasted four issuesBATMAN - lasted two issuesFLASH - lasted nine issuesJUSTICE LEAGUE - lasted ten issuesJUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL - lasted five issuesTEEN TITANS - lasted seven issues

I've cut my subscriptions down to: Action Comics All-Star Western (Shaky ground) Animal Man Batman Batman and Robin Batman, Incorporated Batman: The Dark Knight (Shaky ground) Catwoman (Shaky ground) Demon Knights (Shaky ground) Detective Comics Dial H (Too new to judge) Earth Two (Too new to judge) Frankenstein, Agent of Shade (Shaky ground) I, Vampire Justice League Dark (Shaky ground) Legion Lost (Shaky ground) Legion of Superheroes Nightwing Phantom Stranger (I'll give it a try) StormwatchSwamp Thing Sword of Sorcery (I'll give it a try) Talon (I'll give it a try) Worlds’ Finest (Too new to judge) DC Mini-Series/Specials: The Shade Night Force Overall, I'm really dissapointed by the more super-hero oriented books, although I think most of the Batman line is still pretty good. I still like Paul Levitz's Legion of Super Heroes (I'm buying Legion Lost purely out of LSH loyalty). I can't belive I dropped Superman ... a title I've been buying for, well, decades! I'll stick with Grant Morrison's Action Comics a while longer, as long as I don't get too many more stories like "President Superman."Animal Man and Swamp Thing are excellent. I hope All-Star Western reverts back to a western again, instead of trying to insert Jonah Hex into the Batman mythos.

Okay so you have 24 titles on your list (including future titles). That's roughly half of the new 52 offered, but this is a failure for you? How many DC titles were you subscribed to before the reboot? If you're actually enjoying some new and different titles/genres that you weren't reading before, I would think that is a success. I do agrees with your points on Superman and LOSH though. I myself am subscribing to roughly 30 new 52 titles and consider the relaunch a success. I never thought I'd be reading Animal Man and Swamp Thing!

Mysterio wrote: I don't generally feel like it's been that big a success, though, too many titles (did they HAVE to do '52,' honestly?) and I've felt zero interest for most of the mainstream superhero stuff. I was willing to give it a shot, but if I'm only buying 4-5 books out of 52, that's not a great hit/miss ratio.
