I was in my LCS, getting my books, and this little girl, maybe 5 or 6, was wanting an issue of Wonder Woman. Her father went to check on it, and had to tell her no, that Wonder Woman wasn't a comic for children. Then the little girl started crying. Something is terribly wrong at DC when ANY of their flagship titles "aren't for children." That just really made me angry, and convinced more than ever that "The New 52" was one of the stupidest moves in comic book history. It's the comic book equivilant of "New Coke." I want my DCU Classic back!!!-Eric

A Wonder Woamn comic isn't written for kids? Oh, give them one of the William Moulton Marston Wonder Woman comics. 'cause THAT one was written for your average 8 year old girl. At least the average 8 year old girl that's into sadism and bondage. Oh, FYI - the current Wonder Woman comic is not bad. Its no worse than Harry Potter or Hunger Games.

Plus knocked up farm girl, slaughter of the Centaurs, aforementioned rich guy setting girls on fire (!). Were there any scenes that weren't objectionable? I mean, it's perfectly find for older audiences, but not tween-aged girls, imo.

Remember when an American publisher refused to publish CHARLOTTE'S WEB unless Charlotte got to live in the end?? Have you allowed your daughter to read any of Grimm's Fairy tales? Perrault's original fairy tales? Hans Christian Andersen's? All classics which have been enjoyed by children for centuries. All of them containing quite graphic scenes of sexual content and yes, the big bad death. Do your children play video games? Watch saturday morning cartoons?

I was pointing out there was stuff from the pre-relaunch WW which that father he met on the LCS probably wouldn't think fit for children, either.
