Phonics Monkey Vol 2 wrote:A book like this is great for the civilians and/or lapsed fans. One of the first trades that I bought when I returned to comics was the old Fantastic Firsts TPBs. I had never read much of that stuff, and it is because of that book that I bought Essential Iron Fist when it came out, had a lingering interest which led me to buy the softcover Dr. Strange Masterworks and Thor Omnibus (Lee/ Kirby), etc.

jephyork wrote:Yes. Spread throughout the book are the 4-to-a-page covers of other '60s Marvel books that were notable for one reason or another, but weren't notable enough to reprint in full: things like the debut of a new series, a retitling of an ongoing series, or a new character's strip debuting in an ongoing series (like Hulk in TTA #70). And, at the start, a 4-page rundown of all the Atlas books that were published in Jan-Feb 1960. The folks on this board helped me gather many of those cover scans. Thanks again, guys! -Jeph!
