I apologize if this topic has been covered before but I've been thinking about it quite a bit recently.
Last year, my wife and I moved into brand new 3 bedroom house. One of those serves as my library.
Well, in about 3 more months, we will welcome our first child and so one of the bedrooms will be turned into her room (naturally). In my library, I have 3 Billy bookshelves from IKEA, as well as an equivalent of another in the built in closet. They are about 3/4 full of custom bound hardcovers, trades, and other HC's. Add to all of that, I have about 6 long boxes of comics, many of them are my long runs of titles from when I was a kid and from the past 28 years of collecting, which I would be hesitant to part with. So as you can tell, I have a lot, but I'm sure that I'm not the only one.
I guess my question is for everyone, at what point do you guys say that enough is enough? Recently, I've been going through and trying to pare the collection down, but still, it seems when I get rid of a book or two, there's a whole lot more that just come out and scream BUY ME!!!! I guess the good news is that much of modern Marvel/DC has gotten so event heavy, etc, that I haven't been keeping up, but when there are great solicits like all of the upcoming Marvel Omniboo, etc, it really gets difficult to resist.
So, does anyone else feel my pain?
