Over the past 3 years I have assembled a collection of over 300 hardbacks, the cost of which I wouldn't even like to consider
Having said that my reading pleasure is enormous and I love just looking at my growing library. Anyway I was listening to desert island discs this morning on BBC radio 4 and it went through my head......which 5 books would I take to a desert island with me? I then wasted the next 15 minutes looking through my shelves looking for the 5 books I could keep out of my growing library. Tough choices but I have settled on the following for the reasons stated.
Spirit Archives volume 16 - the book which started this obsession and my favourite comic series of all time. Will Eisner really was the man.
Weird Science volume 3 - Wood, Williamson and 50's Sci-fi how could I live without them
Legion Archives volume 5 - Childhood personified, but any of the volumes from 3 to 8 would do - so many memories
Doctor Strange MMW volume 1 - How could I not take some of Ditko's best with me
Absolute New Frontiers - This was such a pleasure to read it had everything for a an old DC fanboy like me. It's new but harks back to the past
Narrow misses include the 2nd or 3rd volume of Starman, the third or fourth volume of Gotham Central and 50 more !
Anybody else want to waste 15 minutes on a bit of fun for a holiday weekend
