Would people like a paypal contribution site made for Mrs. Buscema? I just don't understand what the moral outrage is about.Money? Lies? Why is she so upset about a tribute book? I just would like some real facts is she wants me to boycott the book.

I get the side that says, "It's an art book, that's all." But cut Stephanie and her grandmother some slack, too.

Right now, it sounds totally unreasonable from her part. And the defense "well, she probably has her reasons" is totally unreasonable as well.

I think it's completely reasonable to have an emotional reaction to something that concerns your family members. (Maybe even to reach toward the extreme in expressing it.) I think, in this case, she has every personal right to be offended, and I don't think I need any better reason. Agree with her, disagree with her, whatever else, I think it's poor form to second-guess anyone else's motives (unless you happen to be that someone else). Speaking for myself, I think it's sort of odd that within the small community of comics, particularly with family members still working in comics, that Buscema's family wasn't contacted. Not that there was, or should have been, any formal (or legal) obligation, just that it seems -- strange.

I know, I know, that's pretty obvious right? What I mean is, justin posted Stephanie's original complaint and a link to it. A couple of hours later, Stephanie posted a reply thanking justin for posting it. In every post since, justin is ADAMANT in his assertion that the actions of the author and publisher are totally wrong and that Stephanie and her family are absolutely right in being insulted and offended by their actions. My question is this: How did Stephanie know to come to this forum? Did justin contact her and notify her of his post supporting her? After all, Stephanie had never posted here before; it's unlikely that she "stumbled" across this forum and that thread purely by accident, a couple of hours after the post was made.So what is justin's connection to Stephanie and/or her family?
