I have a bad feeling about this. I see a bunch of overwritten voiceover-heavy tie-ins, with heroes confronting and overcoming fears they'd never really had in the first place. "Psychological thrillers" that end with heroes beating something up to overcome their fears. I've actually enjoyed recent Marvel events, but this smells to me like the sort of lame fill-in issues we used to get during the Shooter era.
I do like the fact that --as is generally the case with Marvel events-- you'll be able to just read the main series. I'll probably buy that on my iPad when it comes out. No rush. And I'll buy comics that I'd normally buy anyway, though if the crossovers are as lame as I fear I won't hesitate to drop them before the stories are done. I won't be buying additional crossovers. I might read some of them in a couple of years when they get posted on Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited, but by and large this looks like something to steer clear of. (And I'm a Marvel guy.)
