I tried to find something online, but didn't see any reports, but the question is,
Are comic shipments stolen the way electronics shipments and others valuables are?
I ask this because there a few ebay sellers who sell ridiculously cheap HC books. And they are selling multiple copies of HC books, so you know it's not someone's personal collection.
I just bought Absolute Green Lantern Rebirth for $18, free shipping on a Buy It Now. When looking at the sellers completed items, there are several Absolutes and higher priced books BIN sold for $20 or so.
There are other sellers who sell many multiple copies of HC books starting at $6-$7, many sell at that low price, and then they keep adding new items all the time. A normal retailer would go out of business.
I haven't even checked Craigslist or other sources.
Are these stolen items or is there a connection somewhere for amazing wholesale prices?
Anyone tied to Diamond, Borders, Barnes and Nobles, etc. know of anything?
