Thankfully, this is shallow end of the pool stuff for my two forum friends here, but let's keep it there. I'm too busy to play lifeguard if it gets any deeper than this! Moderatin' 'Muu

Maybe “congrats, mission accomplished” in light of your comments about selecting material to publish that didn’t have sufficient interest to get into Previews?

I'm pretty sure FFF wasn't an attempting to get rich reprinting obscure 60 year old sci-fi. I'm pretty sure the Library of America isn't expecting to get rich off of it's books either. And acceptance (or lack there of) by Previews magazine is a poor indicator of a products intellectual or cultural worth.
I'm curious as to who exactly was the intended audience for this book.

Usually I'm supportive of publisher's efforts to get stuff out, especially of material that I've never been able to see before. Krazy Kat by IDW along with their proposed Frankenstein book with Dick Briefer, the Nancy book featuring Aunt Ritzi have me puzzled, especially since Fantagraphics has projects lined up on these three works as well.I decided a while ago that I would hold off on any Krazy Kat dailies until I had all the Sundays. I'm waiting for the last three volumes of Sundays to come out. The other problem I have with the dailies is it seems like three or four different publishers are printing them but there's no consistency. Years are being printed out of order in different formats and with varying quality. I can't say they are out to make a quick buck because there can't be that much money in it. But Overall Fantagraphics has done a great job with the Krazy Kat Sundays.
