For years, there's been a GI Joe comic, a Transformers comic, and Star Trek and Star Wars have always been well represented.
Marvel used to have Micronauts and ROM.
And, of course, Joss Whedon took Buffy and Angel to comics.
These days, the smaller companies seem to be licensing everything... A-Team, Galactica 1980, Ghostbusters, Robocop, Greatest American Hero, Die Hard, Aliens, Predator, Aliens vs. Predator, Charmed... and let's not forget all the video game based comics, and the Stephen King books.
Are there too many comics out there based on old movie and TV Properties? Are the smaller companies licensing everything, no matter how obscure, in hopes of getting a hit book? Are we only a few months away from seeing Manimal, Supertrain, and Ally McBeal comics?
Or, is this a good thing, and if so, what properties would you like to see licensed for comics?
