But a company that size calculates their sales promotions based on what the total discount given is going to approximately be. If the final number is acceptable, they continue doing similar promotions. If it isn't, they do different ones that they can afford. I doubt these transactions were a make it or break it point for B & N.

Considering slickdeals.net gave away the link for the 50% coupon, I would hold them more at fault than I would those who took advantage of it. And again, if it's an issue for B&N, they will undoubtedly adapt their sales in the future. Or find a way to make the coupon more genuinely "random".

Looking at the thread where Euripides69 first mentioned his ploy, I see that you also took advantage of the 50% coupon. Just out of curiosity, did you use it multiple times too, in the same manner as our friend?

But I have all the floppies of this run and when I think of certain scenes or events, I think of them in those original colors just as I first read them way back then. I don't want to screw around with that mind's eye view and different colors do that (to me at least). Anyone know what I'm talking about, or am I just overly nostalgic?

Unlike most of the Silver Age and early Bronze Age material in Masterworks, I already have all of this stuff in floppies (not to mention previously released collected editions), so I can afford to be patient. However, if I was a newcomer to this material, I'd definitely be more tempted.
