Don't see the Kirby influence in Golden's work either - puzzling. Golden's art is definitely in a class by it's own, and IMHO far superior to JK's. I'm actually not a huge fan of JK's art, though do appreciate it as being iconic & also appreciate/understand his contribution to early Marvel & DC comics - without him, comics as we know them today wouldn't exist.That being said, I remember being in a comic store in the early-mid '80's (the heyday of my comic collecting), and hearing one of the staff there making fun of Kirby's work by sarcastically saying something like, "Hi - I'm Jack Kirby, and I can't draw anyone with their mouth closed!" hilarious, and somewhat true
