The recession is hitting every body hard, if you guys want Marvel to keep on making those HCs you have to support them and stop complaining about the 20 pages. I disagree with this sentiment. If Marvel want me to buy their books, especially in a recession, then they should be giving me a reason to buy them. Lower page counts at the same price point leave me feeling ripped off and I choose to vote with my wallet. In tough financial times it's value-for-money that wins me over.

Golden Age
If prices dropped, more new people would try out comics and existing customers would buy even more comics, so Marvel would eventually make more money.

If Untold couldn't survive with better stories for a dollar less, what could?

Hmmm I'm glad there is only ONE classic HC this month... The problem for me (since I started the stupid numebred edition so now I'm still trying to find teh strengh to break the circle) is that these HC are no longer "classics" but just a tool for costly reprint of old stuff in conjonction with novelty (can you hear iron man movie ?)

It can be done, I have stopped at Vol.29. What I saw ahead was of little interest and I made the decision to stop. I'll pick up those I really want as and when.

One of the things I like best about the solicitations coming out is trying to guess what the PCHC(s) for that month will be - it's surely only a matter of time before we get Under Siege, or the Mad Dog Ward, or Meltdown, or Triumph and Torment, or even things like Nothing But The Truth. Keep 'em coming, Marvel.

My name is Oedi and I soar amidst the stars far from the planet of my birth. I guess this starship is the closest thing I've got to a home now, for I am a refugee and an outlaw. Vanth Dreadstar, Syzygy Darklock, Willow 327, Rainbow and Skeevo are my family. We are revolutionaries. Our goal? To bring an end to the 200 year old war between the Instrumentality and the Monarchy!
