Oh yeah! Pre-ordered MY copy!

Got mine a couple of weeks ago, and I agree; here's a mini-review I posted in the Kiss thread on the Blammo board:

Sorry to quote myself, but I just received the KISS KOMPENDIUM from Amazon, and I have the answer: YES! The MARVEL SUPER-SPECIALs featuring Kiss *are* included ! That's the good news. The bad news is, they used the files from when these were reprinted in the 90's as KISS CLASSICS by Marvel. Much of the linework is missing, and the recoloring looks really muddy. Still, it's nice that they were included.

This is a HUGE honkin' book: 1280 pages, measuring 12.5" high x 8.25" wide x 3" thick ! It includes MARVEL SUPER-SPECIAL #s 1 & 5 and KISSNATION from Marvel, the 28 page "graphic history" from Kiss' KISSTORY Volume I book, the 31-issue KISS PSYCHO CIRCUS series from Image, and the 13-issue Dark Horse KISS series. Also included are forwards by Gene and Paul, and 22 pages of photos ("Behind the Scenes") in the back of the book.

All in all, a very nice package, well worth the $47 I paid for it through Amazon (with free shipping!). My only real complaint is how it was shipped: no shrinkwrap, tossed into a box with no protection or padding, so the back of the dust jacket was a bit creased. I have ordered a replacement copy, if it arrives in better shape I'll be happy.[/quote]
