I'm looking at The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh as my next binding project, my first in more than 20 years.
I have all 3 Gold Key issues. I do not have, nor do I feel I need, the reprint of the first issue.
I also have a nice text piece on the character from one of the Hammer magazines.
There's also a Gold Key Twilight Zone story about Captain Clegg, the original identity of the Scarecrow in the books on which the character's based. Easy enough to find.
I just discovered two new Scarecrow stories in Disney Digests. After some irritation, I found a batch on Ebay and they are on their way to me now.
Once I have the material compiled, I'll create a contents page.
I have two questions.
1. Are there any other Scarecrow of Romney Marsh comics that I'm missing?
2. I assume the best way to incorporate the Digest material is to remove the pages, copy them back-to-back and reprint them to scale. Does anyone have other ideas?
Thanks for all your insights, folks. I'm really enjoying digging around on this forum. Thought I knew bookbinding- turns out I know bupkiss!
