This looks like exactly the same project I'm trying to do!
So I've got a few questions :- (1) Did you keep the wrap-around covers & ad pages from the X-Men Archives when you bound them ? (2) When you say MWOM #28-38 do you mean the recent-ish UK only news-stand reprint editions ? I don't have these - only the old CB 1988 TPB - which when I sized it up is strangely shorter & fatter than usual US comic size - so I don't think I can use it. I'll have to hunt down these reprints. On the plus side I'm hoping the reprint quality & paper stock will be better. Thanks for any help you are able to give. Mark. |

I was wanting to have the Alan Moore trade of Captain Britain bound with the Alan Davis trade from the 80's, but like CM said, the sizes don't match up. I no longer have the Alan Davis trade and was wondering if any of you who do, know if it and the Alan Moore trade could be trimmed to the same size and bound without losing art.

ColonelMarbles to answer your questions
1. I kept the wrap-around covers and actually I did wrap them around i.e I bend the back cover over the front cover so that when they were bound you see the whole cover side by side. (hope you can understand my discription of this process). Curiously on looking at my book I didn't remove any ads this time round and I don't remember why as mostly I do. 2. Yes, I do mean the recent-ish full colour reprints and not the old 1972 MWOM. The paper and colour is first class. Good luck with the project. |
