Got Avengers #144 at a drug store my mom used to take me to, about 2-3 miles away. Aside from the Perez art, I liked Hellcat's backstory. It was neat how the Avengers and Defenders (plus Marvel Team-Up and Marvel-Two-In-One) would wrap up storylines from cancelled comics. Even if I hadn't read the earlier comics, the flashbacks caught me up to speed. In the '70s there was a really rich history growing in the Marvel Universe.
