Don't see the Kirby influence in Golden's work either - puzzling.  Golden's art is definitely in a class by it's own, and IMHO far superior to JK's.

I was mystified when I read the remarks abou the alleged Kirby influence on vintage Golden. The only marked difference I see between the first half a dozen issues of Micronauts and second half, is the larger, more dynamic panels, which could be a nod to Kirby.
Let's be generous and attribute it to Kirby and leave it at that.

As far as your remark about Golden being far superior to Kirby goes, let me just say that threads have been locked for lesser offences and leave it at that.
To be honest, there is no real comparision between Kirby and Golden because the former's influence on the medium is infinitely greater than the latter's.
However, in terms of artistry, I much prefer paging through Golden at his peak than Kirby at his, as good as that was.
