Star Wars #38 is one of my favorite issues of that series; I did like the story as well as the art, but I'm a huge SW fan anyway so that probably has something to do with this.  I specifically remember going into a news-stand when I was a kid, and seeing a pile of just Marvel SW #38 in a stack on the floor; IIRC, this was around May of 1980.  This was in the days before the direct market, when news-stands were some of the only places to find comics...

Agree with your review of the Excess: Art of MG book; I believe that's the one I read, and I found it extremely thin & skimpy.  

I would really like to see an oversized, massive color comprehensive coffee-table HC book covering MG's entire career: This should include all of the covers he did, all of the posters, plenty of one-page spreads, etc.  It would be nice if this would also include some short comic stories that either haven't been reprinted and/or are HTF, including the aforementioned "Nightmare" strip...
