Another of my favorite & underrated comic book artists is Mike Ploog, who did draw some issues of the '70's Man Thing series.  If you look at his artwork, you can kind of see shades of Golden...or, more accurately, you kind of see shades of Ploog in Golden; IIRC, Ploog is the earlier artist.

But, yeah, I wish Golden had done a lot more work.  Back in the '80's, it was a treat to occasionally see a cover by him & even rarer to see interior artwork; as a kid at the time, I wasn't as aware of individual comic artists as I am now - however, MG's work was instantly recognizable.  Not sure why he never did more...That being said, I would rather see a small body of work of great quality, then a large amount of work w/O.K. quality....
