Certainly there must be some inherent long-term value for Marvel to have digitized, restored, ready-to-print versions of all their comics.  My point is that the profits from one hardcover edition of an AE or GA Masterworks should not be the only factor in deciding whether the restoration work be done.   But if the restoration work is going to be done, then it would make sense to put out the Masterworks and recoup as much of the restoration costs as possible right away.   I don't know...if it were my company, I would just want everything restored and ready to print for posterity and for whatever potential uses may arise in the future.  It's Disney...surely the cost of restoring EVERYTHING would still only be a drop in the bucket for Disney.
