I don't know that I would have a huge problem with this if I wasn't aware of how they used to make them.  But yeah, for the prices they're asking, these should be sturdier.  And we know they CAN make them sturdier.  So I say raise a fuss.  They are probably testing the market with cost-cutting and quality-cutting measures to see where the line is before people start complaining and boycotting, and it affects their bottom line.  If people keep buying them in the same quantities, why would they spend more money to manufacture them better?
