EPT:
For a scanned page to match an older comic (80s), I used regular copy paper 20lb. I only printed on one side, so I didn't have to worry about bleed through. In fact, I just did "color copy", instead of scanning /resizing/ etc. Trimmed to exact size of comics I was sending. Turned out perfect.

For TOCs, etc, I usually use a little thicker paper 24lb. This helps prevent bleed-through and is better if you're doing printing on both sides.

I've tried 28lb, but it seems a little thick. Some people use that though.

I did an entire scan/print book (Zenith), and I cannot recall if my final book used 24lb or 28lb. I printed the entire thing, and found something I wanted to change, so I printed it again, so I used both weights. I think I kept the 24lb, and sent the 28lb to David Tai.

Trimming: A sharp razor and a metal ruler works best for me.
Printer: I haven't had problems using either a home laser printer or the office copier. Holds up fine.
Comparison to rest of book: Fine. You can notice the paper stock is different on newer books (glossy vs non-glossy) but for older books it's just fine.

I haven't tried to do any glossy pages, so can't comment on that.
