X-Men vol 4, Roy Thomas was starting out as a writer and boy, this guy filled the panels with thousands of words. Reading it felt more like a chore. Plus Werner Roth's art is so so, he drew a beatiful Jean Grey, but when it comes to action scenes he lacked the raw and power that a Jack Kirby or even a Romita provided to their mags. I think there are also some Don Heck issues that are very mediocre.

I agree vol. 4 is pretty bad, but I dislike vol. 5 even more. That's my pick for the worst that I actually own.

I can imagine Ant-Man/Giant-Man vol. 2 being pretty bad, since I own the Essentials volume that reprints those stories. Indeed, my awareness of the poor quality is why I didn't bother investing in the Masterworks version. The same goes with the Human Torch, another mediocre silver age series.
