Here's my thoughts:

Marvel Masterworks Captain America vol.8
Collects: Captain America #160-176

It would clock in around 343 pages. Add the extra pages for intros and credits and this could prove to be a pretty hefty volume.
#176 would work in Vol 9 almost as well as in Vol 8. If Vol 8 was #160-175 and Vol 9 was 176-192 wouldn't the page count of both be in the 320s?

Captain America volume 8
Collects Captain America #160 - #175
Apr. 1973 to July 1974 - 324 pages of comics

Captain America volume 9
Collects Captain America #176 - #192
Aug. 1974 to Dec. 1975 - 322 pages of comics

Ordinarily I'd say that this mapping is not possible since page counts never go past 320 pages without a price increase. I'd still consider it very unlikely though, especially since they could have easily made these two volumes more reasonable by taking volume #7 to #162, but that ship has sailed.

My best guess is that volume #8 has got to be #160 - 168 plus 2 bonus issues or the equivalent of something. I have no idea what that bonus could be, but I can't imagine them splitting up "Secret Empire".

This may be the only possible bonus issue that could be included in volume #8, although it's probably not needed for anything but page count.

If memory serves me right, Marvel Team-Up #13 was part of a greater story ending in a cliff hanger. I could be wrong but if it is it might not be a viable option either. Well... unless Marvel throws something else in that we might be missing.
