Ha!  I was thinking much the same thing, that if the intent was really "to collect the story as it originally saw print," the powers that be wouldn't censor the artwork.  Anybody think there's any chance that that, since this edition is perhaps a little bit less mass-market than the floppy editions, the original artwork might be used?  

Not to sound weird, but I'd buy the book if the original version of the art was used. 
I picked up a couple of the $7.99 ones and was disappointed by the editing of my childhood memories.
