I had hopes that volume #7 would have gone to #162, Then volume #8 and #9 could have finished off the pre-Kirby issues in a reasonable page count. Now I'm wondering if we will end up getting 3 more short volumes, most likely requireing some padding. But what could be added to those volumes to fill them out?

If volume #8 was #160 - 176, and volume #9 #177 - 192 making two large volumes instead, would it have made sense to stop volume #7 with #159?
Good point, Nakamachi! I would have to agree with Misrules13 that the most logical route will be that they're planning for 160-170, 171-181, 182-192. They'll be thin.... I might simply stick to my Essentials instead of buying 3 expensive books to complete the run!! Laugh

I figure if they go with the 3 thin volumes then they will need at least 2 bonus issues of something to get a minimum page count for all 3. I also have a hard time imagining them splitting up secret empire. So what does that leave us?

This seems to me a logical separation:

Volume #8: #160 - 168 (186 needing 2 bonus issues)
Volume #9: #169 - 181 (252 pages, good page count)
Volume #10: #181 - 192 (208 pages, needing 1 bonus issue)

After #160 Cap appears in MTU #9 - 11 (not featured), Avengers #113, and then briefly in Marvel Feature #10 (Ant-Man), none of these seem to be good bonus content but other than that there doesn't seem to be much. Perhaps there won't be a clean separation from the Kirby material.
