Here's the Omnibus slate that we know about for the next year:

Silver Age JLA Omnibus vol 1 (Apr '14)

JSA by Johns Omnibus vol 1 (May '14)

Doom Patrol by Morrison Omnibus (Jul '14)

Brightest Day Omnibus (Aug '14)

Silver Age Flash Omnibus vol 1 (Sep '14)

JSA by Johns Omnibus vol 2 (Nov '14)

DC New 52 Fives Years Later Omnibus (Dec '14)

Green Lantern by Johns Omnibus vol 1 (Feb '15)

Basically, 4 Johns books, 2 Silver Age books, 1 Morrison book and 1 New 52 book, which is fairly consistent with the program for the past three years.

If DC can print current trashy non-classics in Omnibus, surely the canonical GA JSA should come first.
And I personally do not like the omnibus size and paper used by DC, having seen the GA superman, I wasn't too sure if I might buy the SA JLA. DC should do it the Marvel Omnibus Way.
What do you mean by the last comment.  The GA Superman omnibus is the same size as a lot of Marvel omnibuses, same trim size and similar thickness.  Do you just not like that is has thicker paper than the current Marvel Omnis?

But YES for GA JSA omnibus line.  The first volume would be largely weaker material (weaker compared to the rest of DC's Golden Age superhero output), though.  Not to mention the first 3 JSA Archives are still available for clearance prices, as are most of the other Archive volumes.
