Thanks, AH1 ... I did some checking online as well and it seems to confirm what you said. Too bad. Same writer, same artist, interwoven plot; makes you wonder why the Power Girl issues weren't considered for content. But, unfortunately, I find a lot of these DC trades to be lacking in some way or another, which is why I often pass up on them.

I skipped a Firestorm trade a while back partly because I'd heard the repro quality wasn't very good and partly because it didn't include the last 10 Flash back-up tales. The book was only 176 pages long; adding another 80 pages to complete the pre-Fury days wouldn't have been too much to ask for, and it might have resulted in more sales. As it is, DC never did put out a second volume.

But, like you said, the writing isn't that great on All-Star (Levitz WISHED he wrote like Stan!). I think I'm letting nostalgia and my fondness for the Golden Age heroes sway me when I consider buying things like this. But it's been 7 years since these JSA volumes came out--maybe the material is due for another compilation. Hopefully this time it'll combine all the material, including the Power Girl stories, into one well-made volume. We'll see ...
