Don't get me started.
It used to be a pile. Now it's almost a whole wall.
(I just read Lavie Tidhar's THIS VIOLENT CENTURY this weekend, and James Gunn's TRANSCENDENTAL last week, both fairly recent books, while stuff like JACK GLASS by Adam Roberts has been gathering dust for over three months. The reading "rotation" is completely out of whack... ) :P
I know what you mean.  A few years ago, I stopped buying most new books (except for my favorite authors) in favor of taking them out of the library when I wanted to read them.  I still go to a few library book sales during the year, though, and add to my collection that way.  I have one bedroom turned into a library and have lots of books in the basement in storage, though organized so that I can quickly find any book that I want.

I just finished rereading Hornblower and the Hotspur by CS Forester and am reading Hornblower and the Atropos as well as a book about math called "Here's Looking at Euclid" and The Neverending Story audiobook by Michael Ende (that one is in my car for drive time reading).

I like having choices in what I read.  Within the last 6 months, I've reread the Alex Benedict books by Jack McDevitt and listened to the whole Liaden series by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller in audiobook.
