I hate to be THAT GUY, but I've been wondering this for a while...

Gunnar, how long does it take you to read all that? And where do you store it?

The storage isn't bad.  I've got a big basement with plenty of shelving units.  The collection is at around 80000 comics at the moment, but I  might go through it at some point in the next few years and weed some of them out.  I've done that a couple of times in the past, eliminating large chunks of titles like Thor and Hulk that didn't interest me anymore plus various independent series or other titles.  I have a friend who started collecting comics again when the new 52 started and he buys a lot of the DCs from me after I've read them so I don't have to store those ones.

As far as the reading goes, it depends.  I'm a teacher and I tend to fall way behind during the school year and catch up during vacations.  I'm actually pretty much caught up at the moment and only have around 20 comics from the last couple of weeks yet to read.  This week's books will probably arrive on Saturday.  It usually takes me around 6-10 minutes to read a comic depending on the issue, so I can get through a week's comic shipment in around 4 hours or so.  I'll probably start falling behind again soon since my job keeps me pretty busy 6 days out of the week and doesn't leave a lot of time for reading most nights.

I'm currently way behind on many of my manga titles, though am current on some of them like Gantz.  Manga titles usually take me between 20 minutes and an hour to read depending on how much story is packed within.  I'm hoping to get caught up this summer, but other things get in the way like trips, family stuff, sports and so on.

My backlog of trades is pretty big at the moment so I probably won't get around to the Golden Age Superman book any time soon.  I'm reading the Swamp Thing trade from a couple of weeks ago right now and try to keep up with some of the books, but others get put in a pile for later.  I'll get around to them eventually.  You should see my backlog of science fiction/fantasy novels.
