Actually as soon as Sue realized she was under the influence and defeated Malice the costume was changed. No retcon. It was an actual storyline and it made sense.


That doesn't really answer the question I asked. Was it established from the time that the costume was introduced that it was a Malice manifestation, or did readers just find that out when Sue did?
