"I doubt someone with 15 volumes of ASM and 12 volumes of Thor is just going to abandon those lines in favor of the Epic editions."

Well, that is certainly my plan. In fact, I had planned to abandon the Thor line in a volume or two anyway, but if I'm going to see double the issues for half the price by going softcover, then count me in for so long as I'm not double dipping much.

For Amazing Spider-Man, I currently own the two Omniboo, and volumes 8 through 15 of the hardcover Masterworks. I've also got the Return Of The Burglar MPC. I plan to get the Stern Omnibus. I'll get anything after Return Of The Burglar that I don't have in another format in Epic, and I'll pick up the books between MMW Vol. 15 and Return Of The Burglar in either Masterworks or Epic, whichever comes out first.

I've already purchased my last Fantastic Four Masterworks, since with The Overthrow of Doom, the Crusaders & Titans trade, the Perez Visionaries trades, the Byrne Omniboo, the Simonson Visionaries trades, and the forthcoming Epic volume, I own about 75-80 percent of the first 35 years of Fantastic Four.

I will be buying my last Avengers Masterwork when the next volume comes out, as I have virtually everything after that in other formats.

I don't need uniformity of spine design or format. But I understand that there are those who do.
